Escape the matrix with us, or, at least thrive despite the matrix. As many people as possible! Create our own country. The goal is to live a place where people respect your freedom and individual choice. We will divide the land in different areas, so people will live near (or in the same house if they want) people who share similar ideologies/lifestyles. One can live however he or she wants, if you want to live in the same house, just be neighbours, live in apartments or live reclusive. All welcome. Personally I’m not very spiritual but my best friend is. We might end up living in different sides of the big plot of land I hope we buy, but we will see each other as often as we like of course. And we will work together despite our differences. All we have in common is we want personal freedom/ bodily autonomy and the people of Madagascar are very awake, so is their president. If you want to be self sufficient, great, if you don’t want, great! If you want eco, spirituality, non-spirituality etc. etc. everyone are welcome. For those who want, I was hoping/ thinking we could go together to make hotels or something, so we can have a secure financial basis. It is international, all religions and opinions are welcome as long as you respect other people’s freedom.

We follow the principles and ethics of permaculture to build a holistic design modeled on a healthy ecosystem that generates economic prosperity, wellbeing, nature connection and personal growth for our members, for local businesses and for visitors.
Rubha Phoil will become an enterprise centre for businesses to connect with local residents and tourists, with all profit held by the local community. This circular economy, facilitated by an asset-backed currency will ensure resilience and offer solutions for many problems including offering independence from the causes of the cost of living crisis.
We model and teach permaculture, regenerative design, nature connection and regenerative community building. We will offer an online market place for selling, as well as eco holidays, open days, workshops and longer retreats.
We are a small group of folks who have lived together for a year and more. We live in an older home that has hosted various forms of community living over the past 30+ years. We enjoy shared living and want to find others who fit well with our dynamic. We will have the potential opportunity to invest in the property in 2024.

We are a community forming in West Michigan, USA, centered around the Grand Rapids, Holland, and Muskegon areas. We have a core group of about six people who began meeting in April 2023, and another 18 or so who are interested in cohousing in the area and receive our regular updates. Values and elements we’d like to see in our future cohousing community: accessibility (financially affordable as well as physically accessible), minimal environmental impact, equity-minded, intergenerational, regular shared meals, natural area/woods, space for growing food, co-working space.

Do you live in or near Delray Beach, Florida? If you answered yes to these questions, you may want to explore joining others like you to create a mutual support community in the Delray Beach area. If we can get this working well, it could be a model for others – an alternative to assisted living and nursing homes – for those with similar healthful lifestyles and a service orientation. As part of this “caring cooperative,” we will do things like provide transportation to others for medical appointments, help with ensuring our members get groceries, aide with technologies of various types, serve as patient advocates, help arrange for nursing in-home services and hospice, provide respite companion care, share information and resources, and/or other things that support our members. I like to think of it as a replacement for assisted living – where we get the benefits of assisted living, but in our own homes. If there are enough participants we may be able to arrange with a nursing agency special pricing, and/or shared hours (that is, if the agency requires a 4 hour minimum and two community members live nearby, those hours could be split.) Right now, I envision “pods” of 3-5 people who will get to know each other in particular. But this whole model is a work in progress, so it will evolve over time as warranted. If you are interested, please send an email with enough information: Thank you for your interest.

Reinventing the Ties that Bind: Many Americans are searching for communities that will make their lives easier and more fulfilling at all stages of adult life. We know that we’re missing something: the richness that comes from a community of neighbors helping neighbors, the young and old helping each other, and the opportunity for shared experiences and celebrations. In the old days – at least as we imagine them – young families could count on grandparents to help them with their kids; old people could be secure in the knowledge that they would be well taken care of at home; and those in midlife could draw inspiration and guidance from the energy of the young and the wisdom of the old. Many Americans are still lucky enough to be in extended families that support each other in these ways across the years. But most, unfortunately, are not. For many of us, our families are dispersed, our communities are fractured, and we are left to navigate the challenges of each life stage with little help. Young couples with children live hundreds or thousands of miles away from their parents, and have to pay exorbitant fees for day care while missing both the emotional and practical benefits of local, available grandparenting. Older people don’t have the support they need to age in place, and may face a grim march through a progression of institutions from independent living to assisted living to nursing home care. And those in midlife can find it hard to gain the perspective from other generations that would help them assess their lives and careers, consider a change of course, or recommit to the life path ahead. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can create intentional, inter-generational communities that meet both practical and emotional needs. We can live the way human beings evolved to do: mutually supportive, and mutually interdependent, through a robust community for adults and kids at every stage of life. AMICable: A Maine Intentional Community (that can!) The AMICable project will innovate in many dimensions of social engagement, from governance to economics to shared purposes and projects. The first prototype community will begin with a group of people committed to sharing approximately 10-20 dwelling units in co-op ownership. The community will start with a combination of families with children, Boomers in the early stages of retirement, and various ages in between. Ideally, the community will evolve to become an incubator for revenue-generating businesses, such as constructing affordable housing, elderly care, or software development of apps used by such communities. The details of the first community and its membership will be determined over the first few months, after financing is secured. Of course, the idea of an intentional, inter-generational community is not new. The Intentional Communities association counts hundreds of organizations that have tried to do what we envision. While some have been durable, many have failed. We believe that these communities often fail due to flaws in their design: First, they may be organized around particular interests – a set of political beliefs, say, or an interest in yoga – that are not strong enough to sustain a community over time. Second, they lack an accounting mechanism to track the exchange of value – whether providing child care for young families or giving older residents a ride – in ways that ensure fair compensation all around. And third, they have an overly burdensome approach to decision-making, relying on excessive, endless meetings that are time-sinks, contentious, and unpleasant for their participants. To solve these problems, AMICable will be structured as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization, or DAO. A DAO is a novel way of implementing social and economic agreements using a blockchain and smart contracts [brief introduction can be found here: Beginner’s Guide to Social DAOs and How To Join Them | Alexandria ]. Some of the ideas under consideration are: Shared enterprises — such as a grandparent-grandkid camp, an affiliated Assisted Living Facility, a non-profit incubator, or a company that develops affordable housing — using sweat equity and grants for start-up capital. From Here to There While many of these ideas might be good, many might turn out to be over-ambitious or a waste of effort. What is clear from successful intentional communities is that it takes a core group of Founders who are committed to working together for the long term to figure it out. This is an invitation to explore this possibility for yourself, while we collectively figure out a shared vision that is both innovative and achievable.

Creating an Intergenerational Community for a Better Future
a local currency or token for transactions between members, automated as much as possible in a phone-app.
A way for construction contractors and service employees to earn credits — using the token — to purchase lower-cost dwelling units.
Structuring it as a DAO will enable AMICable to prioritize meeting practical needs with minimal overhead, as well as a way to monetize the excess capacity of contributors at various stages of life. While some intentional communities have succeeded in recruiting people who share this “pay it forward” culture without a DAO, the upside of a DAO is that it can accommodate all variety of personal motivations, from profit to altruism. We are confident that integrating a DAO into the plan will create much stronger social glue for the community than simple shared interests can.
Brainstorming and team building: We will start by meeting together remotely, to begin the process of research, collaboration and planning. There are some givens — including the plan to locate in Maine — but the rest of the vision is up for discussion.
Critical mass: When we have a core group of 5-10 families or individuals willing to commit to a plan, we will draft the documents (including an LLC and DAO bylaws) to form an organization. At this point, there will be an opportunity for buy-in from individuals willing to buy a dwelling unit in a shared property, with a realistic expectation for design, cost, location, and community commitments. I would hope we can get to this stage in a matter of months, but it could take longer.
Funding: the start-up of any venture of this scale takes money. I will invest $100,000 at the “critical mass” stage, once it is clear that there is a committed group of founders and a well-defined plan. This should be sufficient to pay lawyers, some staff, and expenses for enough time to line up the funding necessary to build 20-30 homes ($10-15M in loans and equity).

In the Northwoods of Wisconsin, our property is on the Peshtigo River. We are located just outside the small town of Crivitz. There are over a dozen waterfalls & lakes in the area. Our facility was once a hotel with about 30 units. Each unit has its one bathroom and kitchenette. There is a common kitchen to share, as well. Initially, we tried to be a community that assisted those in recovery transitioning from treatment or incarceration. However, we found that very taxing and hard to create community. Therefore, we are starting fresh. Though we will still consider people in recovery, they must be in long term recovery (1+ years sobriety) and serious about personal growth. We offer on site recovery coaching and peer support for addictions and mental health. We would love to also support veterans, whom often are challenged with substance use disorders and mental health issues, as well. We try to share meals as much as possible, but weekly Taco Tuesday is consistent. We focus on wellness and mindfulness. We host a variety of recovery and mental health meetings throughout the week. We have a workout room and a wellness room for therapies such as Myofascial Release, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reiki, sound healing, and other energy practices. We have a craft/art room. We gather for activities, drum circles, bonfires, and anything fun one wants to do. We host wellness retreats, wellness fairs, craft/art shows, and hold a space for the local community to host events. Our rooms can hold up to three people. We are open to all ages and abilities. We are ecumenical as to religion, or lack thereof, philosophy, sexual orientation, dietary preferences, and, at least in principle, politics. We respect and celebrate each others differences and everyone is expected to have an open mind and willingness to learn and accept new things and ideas. Here is a description of the feeling we desire to create. We feel the joy of living in community with those desiring to grow as people and spiritual beings. We feel save with everyone we live with. Every day is fun and exciting. We are constantly creating new things and sharing new ideas. We spend much time attending to our bodies, our spirits, our emotions, and nature. We help each other out along their journey. We do not worry about money, food, or lacking anything. Real love is seen and experienced all the time. The place is filled with laughter. We all awaken our innate, natural gifts as healers. We nurse each other back to health. Everyone pursues their passions and the things that truly make them happy. We are very supportive and cooperative community, holding each other accountable to be a good human being. We allow others to speak into each other’s lives to encourage them to be the best version of themselves possible. We encourage the greatest good for the individual, as well as the community.

Our Vision is to awaken humanity to our highest and best expression that we were created for.
A clothing optional, off-grid paradise for visionary, intuitive, Earth-loving humans! A new community of visionary people, doing what feels the most like themselves, living harmony with nature, is sprouting in the tropical rainforest of Central America. We know that nature provides, and are dedicated to living in concert with the lush ecosystem in the balanced cultivation of food forests, permaculture gardens, natural cob housing, off-grid power and chemical-free lives. The forest quiet is sacred—this is where we hear our souls and move in our innocence in clothing-optional and gift/trade economy community. We are art, we are poetry, we are nature— we’re all in this together. Our Community I. Consciousness, Meditation & Metaphysics Everything is consciousness, everything has a soul that wants to be felt and understood. Our community is based in soul expressing through body in a life that feels the most like you. Life is inherently a psychic and telepathic experience, and we embrace experiencing emotions as information about the past, present and future. We communicate with land, plants, animals, people who’ve passed away, angels, and our fellow humans from our vulnerable true nature, knowing our peaceful, playful relationships with all beings are created by doing what feels the most like us, and collaborating with those who are doing the same. II. Clothing-Optional We value nonsexual, social nudity in nature because we feel like art and part of the ecosystem when we’re nude. Being naked in nature together creates a connection back to our innocence, allows us to be freely in touch with the elements, and celebrates the beautiful bodies of all people, plants and animals we share our land with. Clothing is optional and nudity is never required— we invite you to dress for comfort, connection and what feels the most like you in any moment. III. Off-Grid Well cared for people take good care of the earth. We’re into power supplies that are off the grid, including rainwater capture, solar and alternate energy supplies. As much as possible, we want to eat from the land through permaculture, biodynamic farming, food forest, foraging and other sustainable, regenerative systems that feed us and the ecosystem at the same time. We’re also equipping members who wish to generate income remotely and connect with the world with strong Wi-Fi. IV. Earthen Homes & Community Spaces Each family is worth their own home space on the land, and has a dedicated space to create it. We value natural building, including cob, earthship and more, and encourage community members to create their homes creatively with minimal power tools and machinery. The sounds of nature are sacred to us, and we find abundance in minimal synthetic sounds and substances. Community and common spaces are created to share, collaborate and eat together. V. Gift & Trade Economy We are deeply energized by alternate economics where people do what feels the most like themselves in gift and trade with others doing the same. We know each person is valuable inherently and makes their best contributions through the things that feel the most like them. We trust that we’re all in this together, and share our resources, gifts, surpluses and incomes in a way that feels natural, safe and healthy for the entire ecosystem. VI. Location We are currently looking to buy tropical rainforest land in Guatemala. Our ideal land is 40+ acres, has year round temperatures between 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit, minimal wind, a natural fresh water source, plenty of forest and some cleared space for natural building, and is rural but situated within 1 hour of larger towns. VII. Desired Co-Founders All members are co-founders and co-owners, we’re actively building our community together, in partnership with nature, from the ground up by each doing what feels the most like ourselves, and collaborating in a harmonizing network with each other. We’re open to new people who feel the most like themselves in these expressions: -Land Owners – Tropical Rainforest VIII. Meet our Founder, Chelsea Chelsea MacLeod Schultz (@chelseamschultz) is a psychic medium, earth sculptor and portrait artist who feels the soul in everything. She communicates with trees, people who have passed away, angels and the human energy field, and feels the most herself when she’s naked, sculpting clay and soil into human forms in the tropical rainforest After growing up in a conservative, Christian, blue collar suburb of Detroit, MI, Chelsea travelled the U.S. and started feeling more at home on Earth by living off-grid, in tune with nature and in clothing-optional communities. Chelsea created Peaceful Play Clothing-Optional Ecovillage as a deep reflection of what’s always been in her heart— that we are nature, we are poetry, we are art in motion.

This is a new community looking for like minded people to come together to live a self sustaining lifestyle off grid that includes solar/ wind power, community gardening and food preservation as well as developing businesses from the resources of the land. We will be looking to fill 10 spots with individuals/couples/families that are interested and serious about joining. All participants will be vetted, however, no experience will be necessary but you must have a desire to learn. Additional spots will be added once the community has been started and there will be a waitlist for those not selected for the original 10 in case others drop out for any reasons. Access to the community and co-op garden can be achieved through work-exchange, residence can be accessed by short or long term lease or lots. Pre-fabricated housing may be available in the future. A primitive campground will be operated on a portion of the property to raise additional funds for community growth and improvements as well as host outside groups for primitive skills classes.

What is Community? Community is a natural process of interpersonal, inter-connective, multidimensional and interactive relationships that unfold as beings share their unique aspects, thoughts, feelings, desires, talents, visions, interests, resources, knowledge and discovery. This definition of community opens up a much broader perspective landscape of human experience and potential that integrates the ‘inner’ aspects of our Self with the ‘outer’ aspects of our social reality, rather than focusing on the generalized concepts often defaulted to in the social construction of community such as politics, economics, culture, infrastructure, media, etc that are often separated from the individuals who make up that society or community. This much simpler, yet more encompassing definition than the traditional version brings us back to the basic connections not just between people, but all beings, the Earth, and ourselves. And it is this point, this beginning where infinite possibilities arise and manifest, stretching our imagination to evolve beyond our current limitations. So, rather than looking at the concept of intentional community in the traditional structured ways that are usually employed, lets start from from a deeper ‘place’, or ‘space’ that we can open up together. Let’s explore the wonders we can create when we put forth a real intent to evolve and create a world we not only enjoy living in, but participate in with our whole being. From here we can begin a process of healing that is not separate from the process of community creation, but is integral to it. In this community each person will be free to follow their own path of Self exploration and healing, but also in co-creation with everyone in the community as a whole. Awareness of individual and collective experience will be the main spiritual practice of the community. From this co-creative community space, the physical manifestations of community can unfold based on the people in the community. There is no specific form, design or structure for how a conscious intentional community should act, look like or be located in space. In fact, any real intentional community is always global and organic because it flows from the intent and vision of everyone involved, rather than following a single vision of what community ‘should’ be. There may be a plot of land with Earth based dwellings, or someone may share a house they have, or they may be multiple locations. Most communities in our world today are not conscious intentional communities. They often limit inter-connectivity and interaction as well as creative potential within structured boundaries, rules, beliefs, judgments, etc that may be disconnected in many ways from the individuals that make up the community. We create an ‘image’ of life or what we think life should be, which focuses us in our minds and away from our whole being and true potential. This is often where we find ourselves today in our global societies which are made up of many communities that take on the limitations and boundaries of the society they exist within. More often than not ‘change’ in such communities or societies is filtered through a social-economic-political system that controls, or attempts to control these mind based dynamics. Individual conscious awareness is generally regulated to those boundaries and patterns, such that evolution is mostly stagnant at the community and individual level. People get hung up on an external place, forgetting the deeper Space where we are all connected and within which all places are built, starting with imagination. Within communities that are not fully intentional, people most often focus on expanding and defending their identity(beliefs, ideals, lifestyle, social standing, gender, appearance, etc) through money, power, control, limited relationships, material possessions, or other cultural manifestations associated with identity. Creative energy is spent on this, rather than developing the deeper connections through the heart which can facilitate and unfold the unique individual aspects of each being and their visions in co-creative ways. All aspects of how the community operates will depend of the people, as the people are (or should be) the heart of any community. So this is where the community will start, with gathering people who share this vision of what community could be, if we choose to move beyond this box we have lived in for so long where most have forgotten there could even be another way. If you are interested then message me and let’s chat.

Rolling fields, multiple established orchards, berry patches and gardens are interspersed with private corners for residences and groves of trees.
There are currently 4-5 adults and a teenager living on our part of the land (The other land partner has multiple tenants on her side and is not part of this project per se).
We also accommodate work traders throughout the growing season and have a large dome as a communal structure for workshops, events, ceremonies etc.
There is no religious affiliation of the project.
No vision, no purpose. Just exist. I’m looking to buy land to have a place where GOOD people live and grow food together. That’s it. Nothing else. I don’t care what you want to do or be or believe in. I think it’s just easier to do anything you want when there are other contributors to basic necessities. I’m only posting this ad prior to purchasing land because I need help. I can buy land right now but overall quality and size won’t be the best but still very good. If we have enough to make a large purchase all at once we can get so much better quality land for a much better price. Worse case I end up just buying a few acres and hopefully expand with some help later on. But I know for damn sure there are plenty of you out there who just want to exist. Who don’t want to follow someone else’s vision or will. Help me make a home for us. If you know true pain(heh), if you understand what pain is and don’t pass it along, I need you. You are scarce. Also. If you are broke it’s ok, love and support is also currency. Parents welcome too, your kids will also have a safe space here. I’m looking for genuinely kind people. I don’t want to look over my shoulder when you’re around. If you are safe, reach out.

The name, “Cimarron” has an interesting history. Cimarron is a word from Spanish that ultimately comes from Taíno, an indigenous language of the Caribbean. Its meaning refers to a domesticated human or animal that goes feral, or rewilds itself. A Cimarron is somebody who escapes slavery to reclaim the glorious freedom that is their birthright as human beings. To be a Cimarron nowadays means to escape wage slavery and slavery to industrial society in order to reconnect with the Land and a harmonious way of life.

My name’s Cam, I’m the founder. I grew up in the backwoods of South Carolina. I am an old-fashioned country boy (though also very innovative and adaptable), an outdoorsman, a farmer, a traveler, a writer (for nature magazines), a scientific researcher, a nationally-certified Carpenter, a health coach in the field of Quantum Biology, and a soon-to-be massage therapist. I write for Mother Earth News Magazine and Backwoodsman Magazine. I’ve studied natural building techniques for years, along with gardening, animal husbandry, botany, foraging, nutrition, psychology, primitive skills, and wilderness bushcraft. The more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know. I’ve had to unlearn more things than I’ve had to learn. I believe that as children, we’re born with an innate, instinctual, primal wisdom that is lost as we grow older the more we are influenced by society. I intend to reclaim that wisdom in order to become truly free, help heal the wounds of the people and Lands around me, and raise children that never have to lose that wisdom. My attitude in life is essentially similar to that of a Native American, I have a deep love of Nature and an appreciation for the interconnectedness of all creatures on the Land. I’m a practical, down-to-earth, and pragmatic person, in addition to being a mild-tempered, philosophical, laid-back, easy-going, spiritual kind of feller. I’m pretty easy to get along with, I’ve WWOOFed before, so I understand what it’s like to visit and work in communities. Don’t worry, this is a pleasant place to be.
It would be very difficult to not get along with me, quite an achievement actually. The only people I have trouble with are people that are dramatic, lazy, and thin-skinned tenderfoots or snowflakes with a sense of entitlement. I want to help folks that are hurting, but I ain’t interested in walking on eggshells around a ticking time bomb. Cimarron Village is a sanity sanctuary.
I’ve been aiming to create a harmonious community for years, and now is the time. We have land outside Texas that we’ll be selling in order to buy a place in the Davis Mountains of West Texas. That land will be an oak savanna with olive trees, avocado trees (and more Mediterranean-type plants), a large garden with lots of cabbage in particular, Barred Rock chickens (along with some heritage breeds), Khaki Campbell ducks, Muscovy ducks, Narragansett turkeys, Geese, guinea fowl, sheep, Nubian goats, black Iberian hogs, a cricket farm, an edible fish pond, an earthworm farm, a mealworm farm, a partially underground greenhouse with some tropical herbs, some Earthbag houses, some strawbale houses, log cabins, a spring, an old-fashioned well, a creek, compost piles, fruit and nut orchards, bee hives, a vineyard, pastures, woods, mountains, and plenty of breathtaking scenery and good hunting in the surrounding Wildlands. This land gets a moderate amount of rain, so it’s not too dry and not too wet (no mold problems or mosquito issues), there’s no county building codes so we can build whatever natural buildings we like, it’s open range land so we can graze livestock without fences, the weather is pleasant year round (the summers a bit cooler than the desert because of the high elevation and the winters are very mild, seldom snowing—but when it does snow, it melts quickly). It’s a little patch of Paradise, I tell you. I’ve spent years narrowing down my sights to this one spot. Y’all come on over!
We are building a sustainable housing intentional community from the ground up after starting through the Universidad Sin Fronteras/ University Without Walls classes and a Peoples Movement Assembly in Florida. Our story started with 10 black women mostly mothers, our children and our community.

Windbreak is a forming intentional community seeking to create a rural community of between 50 – 250 diverse individuals located within eight hours driving of Cincinnati, OH. The community is in the initial stages of forming the “founding group” (10-13 adults) with a goal of purchasing community land in the next 3-5 years. As an intentional community, Windbreak seeks to develop deep, supportive relationships among its members by practicing radical honesty, non-violent communication, and establishing a culture that prioritizes personal autonomy and accountability on our paths to self-actualization. The community will invest in land improvements meant to be passed on to subsequent generations, and mindfully create infrastructure to support cradle-to-grave living on its common land. Windbreak seeks to provide a path for its Members to divest themselves from contemporary capitalist society as much as possible (and desired) by becoming as self-sufficient as possible and creating a robust hyper-local, time-based economy. The community aims to provide an equitable and inclusive environment and provide a place to retreat, rest, and recharge for marginalized groups as well as those doing the work of creating a more just and equitable world. Windbreak will serve as an educational center providing classes, workshops, and camps for all ages to pass along the knowledge the community acquires along our journey of developing one example of alternative living. While there are many aspects of the project that are rooted in immutable values and principles, there are many decisions that still need to be made. The “Founding Group,” will work together closely to further refine the Vision and Mission as well as co-create the systems, structures, agreements, policies, and legal organization necessary for creating and sustaining a thriving resilient community.
