All cohousers, wannabe cohousers, and those curious about this style of intentional community are invited to the Regional Cohousing Conference, Sept 26 – 28, in Boulder. This conference brings together a diverse program that will help you understand “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” of living in community, and provide you and your neighbors with tools to work within your unique community environment.

Cohousing neighborhoods are intentional communities that combine the advantages of private homes with the benefits of more sustainable living, including shared common facilities and ongoing connections with neighbors. Cohousing is an idyllic community concept and housing development strategy, but after the doors open, real life kicks in with real life issues, real life personalities and real life conflicts and their resolution.

The conference weekend will be packed with useful information with plenty of time to network and ask questions. This is a vibrant area for cohousing, with at least 12 existing communities in the Colorado Front Range and several more in the planning stages. Sessions will be held at Nomad, Silver Sage Village and Washington Village cohousing communities.
