Ready, Willing and Able
- Seeking Community
- Marshfield, MA
The farming season has winded down for the year and I will be spending part of the winter visiting intentional communities in the New England area with the hopes of connecting with the right group of people or, at the bare minimum, make some new friends. I have lived on and visited many i.c.’s and farm co-ops all over the U.S., but moved back east about 2yrs ago to look after my father who is getting older. I was previously living in Alaska. I am presently on the south shore in Mass, but I’m much happier in a country setting so I’m not afraid to drive a few hours to find this.
In the interest of saving time and energy, it’s probably best to be upfront about what I’m lookng for and where I’m coming from. I’m a farmer, fisherman, mechanic and carpenter who’s studied nvc (non-violent communication) and volunteer with kids. I am debt, drug and drama free. I’ve lived off grid for over 10yrs and love being physically active. Later this week, I’ll be on the ocean hauling lobster traps. I’m more of a doer than a talker so I’m looking for other doers, people who are interested in growing their own food and living as sustainably as possible. If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you!
