BOATYARD WORKERS NEEDED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF CAPE COD SAILING CENTER AND INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

Join us to transform an inland boatyard into an Intentional Community that supports itself in part by caring for sailboats, making sailing available to anyone who wants to sail, and bringing back working sail. You will be an independent contractor working with other independent contractors while we develop other methods for sharing the resources, responsibilities and rewards in an egalitarian atmosphere. You will have an equal voice in decision making that affects you from the start.  You will earn a share of private income from income producing work and earn equity for Community development and maintenance.  Housing and transportation are provided by the Community. Current housing can accommodate couples or individuals.

For boat hauling, mast work, and marine services, we need someone who is agile, can handle a heavy load, and is comfortable with using heavy equipment. Of course, if you have worked in a boatyard and love sailboats, thats a big plus. Experience with power tools, knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and handy-person skills would also be highly valuable, but we can train someone with a good attitude and a strong back.

For office work, administration, development, and communications we need someone who enjoys keeping things organized and working with others.  We have several businesses and a non-profit to tie together into a cohesive Intentional Community, so any kind of business or office experience will be helpful. We use QuickBooks, AnyDesk, TeamUp, FaceBook Marketplace, Commander, and WordPress with Elementor. Knowledge of any of these would be terrific, but there will be a lot of on-job training with or without previous experience.
