Developing Community in Southern Vermont – We are developing a small spiritually-oriented intentional community (up to 8-10 people) on an existing homestead farm on eight beautiful acres in southern Vermont. Land is a mix of open area and woods, large vegetable and flower gardens, fruits and berries, and a friendly flock of hens.

At the present time (January 2024), the dwellings we have consist of a large main house, apartment, and finished barn. Also, we have rustic spaces for personal retreats, including a treehouse, and space for portable living structures.

4 people are living here. We envision building additional housing starting next year (pending local zoning changes and financial commitments).

Our immediate priority is to rent the main house (2200 sq ft, 1-2 bedrooms, 2 baths) It is available to rent for $1500-2000 / month, starting in March with an option to buy.

We envision this community as open to people of all spiritual paths, who are focused on self-awareness and spiritual development, and preferably who have skills and experience in gardening, land maintenance, and sustainable living, or at least are creative doers with a passion for learning and contributing. Healthy plant-based diet encouraged, but not required. Possibility of creating a spiritual retreat center too. Seeking kind, compassionate, caring, and emotionally mature people of integrity who are good at communicating, resolving conflict peacefully, and working together.

Friendly pets are welcome. We are looking for people who have the time, energy, and interest in shared responsibilities and management, can make a reasonable financial investment and/or monthly contribution, and are open to a long-term commitment and cooperative ownership after a  “getting-to-know-you” period.
