We live on 4 acres in Washington Co. near Jonesborough TN within a 2 bedroom,2 bath personal home(West Wing) that has an attached/seperate fully functional 3 bedroom, 1 bath house (East Wing) with its own kitchen and laundry available for rent. Rental also has private back porch & patio. No common doorway between both homes.
They both have separate entrances with a shared front porch, yard, and garden space as well as a common driveway.
The homes are separated by a double~wall and both have separate side yards as well as parking areas.
Rental house has modern appliances, hvac mini-split units , with a nostalgic working wood stove for added heat and cooking capabilities.
Rental home has great view of wooded area with lots of privacy, peaceful setting, and forest animals passing by.
I am working on property sustainability projects as time, material, labor and money allows but welcome a homestead seeker with references, good character, some building or property development skills but most importantly a willingness to assist us with this sustainable community project. We have not established an Intentional Community model but prefer a consensus or Board operating framework if idea is to be considered.

3 bedroom/1 bath rental at $1,500/ month which includes electricity, water, internet, & trash service. Pets on case by case basis.
Workshop & storage rental space is available $150/ mo.
and can be offset for other property tasks not affiliated with house/garden shared tasks. Paid work available for tasks unrelated to 1 year Rental Home Lease.
Shared gardening, water catch/reuse and other landscape projects are priorities. On-site renewable energy already in place as well as necessary tools and equipment to facilitate above Homestead projects as well as other agreed upon specialty projects.
Modern Amenities here with the goal of conserving resources, sustainable practices, shared gardening/chickens and occasional shared community building activities.

The Goal and Intent is to Co-Create a modern structured Urban Homestead/EcoVillage that respects all persons involved in this experience, promotes kindness, and do not tolerate discrimination of any type.
To clarify; the reduced rent for home is due to the shared tasks agreed upon in order to maintain our shared separate homes. The base rent is not available for offset by these agreed upon shared tasks.
Property is within minutes of JC & Jonesboro TN community , hospitals, and businesses yet off the main road and surrounded by trees and diverse wildlife.
