Our community, Sundari Farm and Gardens is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. It’s very rural here, but in a pretty progressive neighborhood with lots of dance, yoga and workshops. Our 10 acre land has sweeping ocean views, fruit trees, statues and gardens. We have a six bedroom house, a four bedroom house, a five person dorm for worktraders and a standalone cabin. We’re currently constructing another standalone cabin. We also have two event spaces and host weekly ecstatic dance, Sunday morning song circle along with  various other concerts and workshops. We also have a large spa with a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and cold plunge.

Our community is pretty peaceful by intentional community standards. We have a weekly mandatory coherence circle and community dinner. We also tightly interview potential new residents. People are always remarking how beautiful and peaceful our place is.

Sundari used to be a retreat center but we are on a community model now. It could potentially change back depending on the needs and wants of the residents and us, the owners. We are currently seeking a manager or even preferably a couple to manage this place. This means keeping the rooms full, managing new construction projects, acquisitions, general property management and keeping the vibes up!  We have a day-to-day manager for the work crew that you would be working with.

This position requires a pretty consistent presence on the land. It’s honestly a fair bit of work and attention to detail. You have to have excellent communication skills and good management skills. Greatly prefer someone with management experience. You need to be a self-starter, a problem solver and creative! We’re definitely open for co-creating.

We’re looking for a commitment of several years. Pay is negotiable, but we don’t pay enough for you to do it for the money. You’ll make enough to live on, but we’re not profitable. You need to do this because you love this kind of work. It’s honestly a dream job for the right person!
