Seeking a situation where I can live in my own tiny house, teach/tutor children, grow vegetables, enjoy pets and animals, live a vegetarian lifestyle, and assist with organization, grant writing, legislative petitioning, etc.  I’m a certified teacher K-12 in Florida and Texas with reciprocity in all states specializing in Special Education, Mathematics, English Language Arts, and English as a Second Language.  For many years, I was a practicing chiropractor in Pensacola, FL with a large, multi-disciplinary practice of chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture and rehab.  Lifelong animal lover/rescuer, compassionate and caring, intelligent, highly educated, and experienced in factual writing (legal narratives, educational curriculula, grant writing.)  Currently, I tutor high and middle school students, and am a caregiver to a 90 year old man and an 89 year old woman separately to enable them to remain in their homes, and a nanny to a 5 month old baby boy!

I am single (and have been for many years) with one adult child who would possibly join me in a community within a year or two.  Kieran is 23 and about to graduate from University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Sustainability.  Kieran is a musician, artist, and Vegan who seeks a community where he can learn permaculture, earthship type building, ethical and kind animal raising (not for meat), and other practical sustainable living.  We are both spiritual people who seek to make a difference in this world while pursuing personal growth in a win-win situation whereby we contribute our strengths and learn from others.

I am Canadian (with US permanent residency); my son is American.  With climate change and my personal preference, we are looking for a treed, elevated coastal, uplands or mountainous environment with adequate rainfall.  I grew up in rural Ontario, lived for many years on Vancouver Island, coastal Florida, rural Northeast Texas, and have returned to Florida to be near my son.  We embrace natural and holistic “medicine”, breath work, meditation, and yoga. We are seeking a multi-generational community within which to live, grow, and (for me) be an integral community member through the end of life.

You will find me to be personable yet private.  I do not engage in gossip and refrain from condemnations and criticism.  I prefer to lift another up through praise which worked wonders with my special needs kiddos of the past.  I have been a leader and a follower but what I find suits me best is to be a member of a team embracing agreed upon goals.  I have much to offer however I am only one – we are much stronger together.
