Mission Statement:
Our mission, our purpose is to create a supportive environment for people with disabilities of various kinds. We aim to be barrier free to all people with disabilities. We aim to be supportive with each other and relying on each other as much as is possible. We will advocate for ourselves. We hope to have a full time support staff comprised of our community residence as much as possible and hire outside our community as needed. Everyone in our community will have a voice in the everyday operation of our community. Each of us can contribute as we are able to. Everybody has worth and value.
Community Description:
A community of people with various disabilities supporting each other in our daily lives. We understand our needs and barriers better than anyone and we need to advocate for ourselves. We can share what works. *Note* Forming, in discussion phase. If interested lets start communication now and work out the details. We may be following the example of http://www.camphill.org/ which is a beautiful work and community.
