—About the Community—
Dancing Horse Collective is forming a new intentional, co-living community. We are passionate about horse-training, dancing, music, organic gardening, conscious communication, creativity, innovation, and harmonious work/life balance.
This is an oasis for diverse beings who are passionate about building community in a changing world. We’re a haven for horse-lovers, dancers, makers, gardeners and dreamers. A place where professionals, artists, and unique beings can peacefully cohabitate.
We are looking for 4 to 5 committed, long-term members who are mature, creative, responsible and financially stable. Individuals with creative minds who want to collaborate and enjoy a well-rounded lifestyle. Thinkers, visionaries and innovators are welcome!
Community is a top priority for us. We encourage participation in events such as house dinners, house dance parties and maker projects. We also recognize the importance of time and space for your own personal well-being and endeavours.
Your house responsibilities are to participate in at least one of two house meetings per month, complete your assigned weekly chore, and stay in the loop with house communication. We love it when people share their talents to support the community in their unique way. We prize open, honest, respectful communication, engagement and teamwork as the formula for success in our community.
Unfortunately we can’t support any free-roaming pets in the house.
Horse-Training
We currently have three horses at Dancing Horse Collective. If you are interested in participating in the training and maintenance of horses, you are welcome to engage and learn through experience. We use natural horsemanship training techniques and good old fashioned hard work. We train all types of horses including Mustangs, Quarter horses, Arabians and rescue horses.
Furthermore, we have built relationships with our neighbor ranchers whereby we train their horses, in exchange for use of their land. This expands the amount of land that is freely available to us for horse training and enjoyment.
We are professionals during the day and Cowboys and Cowgirls after hours or whenever the ranch calls!
The Barn
Our barn is not only used for hay storage but as a maker space to indulge creative hands and minds.
Organic-Gardening
Our dream is to produce organic food and herbs for our own consumption, as well as for the pleasure of farm-to-table events to build community connections.
— About the Space —
In addition to your room (one of 4 bedrooms,) you have access to all communal areas including the large kitchen, two living rooms, a workout room, 3-car garage, swimming pool, hot tub, barn, maker’s workshop, garden gazebo, spacious backyard, horse paddock plus use of an on-site commercial washer and dryer.
