We are Keesha (38), Jake (37), Ilijah (15), Bella (14), Banjie (12), Monzie (11), Zay (9), Zac (7), and Iliana (3). We are a hippie unschooling homesteading family with experience in permaculture and green building. We are the founders of Wild Ridge Eco Village in Virginia, USA. It is our mission to restore the connection between humanity and nature, to grow back to our wild roots for a sustainable future. Our desire is to see small sustainable communities develop and multiply everywhere to return humanity to the village-life we were intended for. Born in the U.S., we have lived in many places around the world including Haiti, Malaysia, and Bali. We have experience in community development, co-housing, operating a guest house, green building (including off grid solar, composting toilets, etc.), and regenerative permaculture.
