Are you a creative, grounded, spiritually aligned woman looking for a healing, peaceful home for a season or more? Would you love to exchange light project help for very reduced rent? Do you feel at home in spaces filled with art, nature, music, faith, and quiet purpose?
If so, I may have just the spot for you.
The Home
Located in a peaceful, semi-rural neighborhood, my home is a cozy, non-smoking, non-party sanctuary with a strong focus on healing, creativity, and intentional living. I live here with my sweet elderly dog and a rescued cat — so no additional pets, please, as my little animal family has all the company it can manage for now.
There’s space here for one (possibly two) kindred spirits looking for a short-term stay (with potential for longer if it’s the right fit). Rent is highly reduced in exchange for help with some ongoing projects — mostly creative, outdoor, and home-based (think: landscaping, organizing, painting, decorating, garden tending, and setting up an art/music space in the garage).
You’d have your own private bedroom, shared bathroom, and access to the kitchen, living spaces, garden, and more. It’s not fancy, but it is full of life, heart, and creative potential.
Who I’m Looking For
This space is ideal for:
- A female-identifying person in need of a peaceful, nurturing, and grounded place to land or heal.
- Someone who loves getting their hands in the dirt, painting a mural, sorting through old treasures, or helping beautify a home.
- A responsible, drama-free, self-aware soul who is looking to live simply, soulfully, and maybe a little unconventionally.
- An artist, musician, gardener, prophetic worship dancer, or someone who’s walked a spiritual path and is looking for a place that honors that walk.
- A good communicator, kind-hearted, respectful of boundaries, quiet at night, clean, and not into substance use of any kind.
No alcohol. No drugs. No smoking. No overnight guests. This home is a sanctuary and I want to keep it that way.
What I Offer
- A major rent discount in exchange for your help — not as a caregiver, but as a co-creator and assistant. You will not be expected to “take care of me,” but to help co-steward this space.
- A peaceful environment for rest, reflection, and creativity.
- A chance to be part of something meaningful — whether that’s helping me with a short-term art or gardening project, or holding the house down while I’m on retreat overseas for a few weeks.
- Room to breathe, dream, heal, and be.
What You’d Help With
Here’s an idea of the kinds of things I could really use a hand with:
- Transforming my garage into a mixed-use art gallery/music studio.
- Light landscaping and yard work (think beautifying, not backbreaking).
- Painting or redecorating spaces inside the house.
- Tidying and organizing neglected corners.
- House-sitting and pet-sitting during my upcoming travel (about 2 weeks).
- Maybe leading or co-hosting a small Bible study, creative worship jam, or healing circle if that’s your vibe too.
Who I Am
I’m an “electric hippie” at heart — spiritually awake, soulful, artsy, and deeply committed to helping others. I’ve worked with at-risk youth, served as a residential counselor, and spent years helping people heal and grow.
I’ve created a space that reflects that mission — one that’s soft, artistic, faith-infused, and open-hearted. I’m not looking for a roommate in the traditional sense. I’m looking for a collaborator, a creative peer, maybe even a new friend who resonates with intentional living.
This Is NOT For You If:
- You want a party house or bring guests over regularly.
- You use alcohol or other substances.
- You are uncomfortable around pets or want to bring more.
- You don’t enjoy occasional quiet or reflection time.
- You have a history of unreliability, criminal activity, or unhealthy boundaries.
- You’re just looking for cheap rent with no desire to contribute.
The Ideal Match Might Be:
- A woman in transition — spiritually, emotionally, or physically — who needs a calm, purposeful place to rest, heal, and help.
- An artist or musician looking for a soft place to land while contributing to something creative.
- A gardener, interior stylist, or someone who finds joy in transforming spaces with heart and vision.
- A woman of faith (of any kind), or spiritual seeker who enjoys fellowship, creativity, and intentional community.
- Someone who loves old dogs and friendly cats!
- Someone who likes to help in the kitchen…because we need to eat. If one cooks the other can do the cleanup and we can decide on meal planning once a week or month.
Interested? Here’s What to Do Next:
Please reach out and tell me a little about yourself:
- Your background (spiritual, creative, work, etc.)
- Why this space and offering resonates with you
- What kind of time frame you’re thinking about (short or possibly long-term)
- What you feel you could offer in terms of help/projects
- Anything else that helps me get a sense of who you are
Let’s talk and see if this feels like a mutual fit. If it does, I’d love to welcome the right person (or maybe two!) into this next chapter — a chapter of healing, co-creating, and living with deeper intention.
I live in the city of artesian healing water…its been here for 2,000 years! I haul in the water for drinking. I’ve slept better here than any other time of my life.
P.s. I could be selling the Home soon, just not sure yet..
Gratitude for reading, and blessings on your path — wherever it may lead.
