Are you looking for a sanctuary in suburbia? One of those Bay Area gems you hear about, but rarely find available? A few awesome people to share a home with? What a coincidence….

We are looking for housemates to share our large, beautiful home with. We have lots of shared space in our 2,300 sq. ft. home and over 1,000 feet of yard space. We are an intentional conscious community of folks who’ve become friends, we love, care for, and support each other in our growth, healing, and unfolding. All-around healing home! We like to use non-toxic and no chemical products in our home to ongoingly try to be better stewards of this beautiful planet. We’re also low EMF.

Our beautiful, spacious, loving, and warm home has 5 bedrooms in total, 2 master bedrooms with their own master bathroom, and the other three rooms that share 1 full and 1 half bathroom. The chef style kitchen/dining area is wonderful for entertaining, complete with an island and modern appliances including dishwasher, gas stove, large fridge and two smaller refrigerators, and a Berkey water filter. There is a living room as well as a sunken family room downstairs which is used for work-outs, has gym/dance studio mirrors, a cozy nook downstairs for reading, relaxing, studying, or taking snoozie naps, a work-desk and a sliding glass door leading to the backyard.

We are looking to continue to build a community of like-minded, deeply health-conscious folks, on a spiritual path, who are environmentally conscious and interested in intentional, conscious communal living. We like to cook together, play board games, dance, movie-nights, spend time together, and have our individual lives outside of the home as well. We like to share some simple and basic communal house items and food basics, ideally you would be interested in that as well. We choose to avoid using pesticides inside/outside our home and choose toxin-free household products. Sharing in our permaculture and biodynamic principles and practices, growing food together year-round in our garden to create food safety and good health, homesteading practices, enjoys healing or movement arts, sound healing, conscious healthy living, take in a documentary or sometimes a Netflix binge day, and cook delicious and healthy meals together. We are looking at trying beekeeping again this year too! Graduates of NVC and HAI encouraged to apply. =)

There is a HUGE BACKYARD! There is a beautiful, abundant, and fertile garden area with a fence and archway already built that we will be planting our garden in the springtime. Spend time in our backyard oasis in the heated claw foot mineral bathtub or indulge in the infrared sauna for your personal healing. It is a wonderful space to spend time outside soaking up the sun, healing in nature year-round. Fall and winter are nice to have fire-pit bonfires in the backyard. We have 5 sweet hand raised hens, our feathered babies that lay fresh and yummy eggs seasonally! We are a home of composters too!

Our garage is more of a work-space, hang-out, and creative-space that also has a washer/dryer. There are two parking spots in the driveway as well as plenty of street parking.

Location: We are close to the 280 freeway/Lawrence Expwy and within 15 mins of Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Saratoga, and Downtown San Jose.

We stand for social and environmental justice, and a world where everyone is thriving with no one left out. We know that for this to happen, everyone needs to be included in the creation of that world. We are building a house community that is more of a reflection of the world we envision.

As the house vision is evolving, we’re prioritizing diversity of spiritual practices, because we see that we all learn and grow more because of what we each bring to the table. For the same reasons, we also value building a community made up of a diversity of lived experiences and social identities, so we can all learn from each other’s perspectives, and use that learning to have a greater impact on the world we want to see. We encourage BIPOC and LGBTQ folks to apply.

To be transparent, we are a house that is currently composed of all white-identifying folks. We are each deepening our understanding of white supremacy and working to dismantle it both in the house and in other areas of our lives.
