Director

Little River Community School welcomes applications for a Director to lead our democratic K-12 school in Canton, NY.

The Director provides vision and leadership, supports staff and students, oversees budget, fundraising, outreach, and daily operations, and serves as a key contact for families and the community.

Ideal candidates are collaborative, flexible, have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and have a passion for working with children.

Salary is $40,000.

Little River serves 36 students, grades K-12, in a four-classroom schoolhouse, on Birdsfoot Farm in Canton, NY.  We provide a unique environment where students are trusted and seen as inherently self-motivated to learn about their world.  Little River offers strong academic classes in small-group settings. Special emphasis is put on problem-solving skills and hands-on experiences. Our teachers facilitate and support the students.
