We are a small intentional community of five adults and two children on 280 acres of farm and forested land in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon.
We currently have two small dwellings for rent. They are each about 250 square feet and have cold running water, electricity, and a wood stove. One unit has okay wifi; the other has none at all. However, we have a common building with excellent Wi-Fi, a cozy library, and some great outdoor seating areas.
We also have a shared bathhouse with private showers, a clawfoot tub, and laundry. In addition, we have a hand-built wood-fired sauna adjacent to our pond. In cooler months we fire up the sauna on most Sunday evenings.
There is a wood-fired artisan bread bakery on land and there is often work available there. We are in a rural valley about 30 minutes from Jacksonville, OR.
Our community has a strong focus on land stewardship, sustainability and resilience, communication skills, accountability, vulnerability, and personal growth and development. We see conflict as an inherent and inevitable part of human relationships and embrace it as an opportunity to develop communication and self-reflection skills.
Our ideal new resident is committed to whole-self wellness and has experience with land-based and/or general maintenance projects.
Rent and utilities = $575-690/ month, depending on the dwelling.
Deposit = $500 (Could be paid over the first 2 months)
