Hi were a family of three looking for a tenant/tenants for the apartment connected to our  farm house sitting on a good chunk of pasture + forested acreage. We have a big garden, an established orchard and have planted a mixture of 50 young fruit and nut trees, especially stoked about chestnuts and hazlenuts!!! Were hopen to eventually create economy from the the land. We tend to the land when we can but spend a lot of time working day time jobs to pay the bills. We like the idea of tinkering with the possibilities of a small intentional community, but for now just wanna keep it low key. We believe in social justice and defending equality for all!! We want to live with others with shared values for the People, the Land, and the Water.

For the time being for people to live here, in the apartment we’d need them to pay rent+ their utilities(electric, wood). We’ll include 250 gal oil tank filled w/ #2 oil for free.  There is forced air/hot water from a furnace that burns #2 oil, a wood stove which could replace forced air, no dish washer, a washing machine, dryer is out of service(gonna have it fixed soon), and no air conditioning.

We’re askn 450$ a month + you pay utilities. We are willing to negotiate the rental agreement!

The Town of Freedom is 30 mins from the ocean, were close to MOFGA(Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association), were in proximity to lots of lakes, down in central coastal Maine(Occupied Wabanaki Land).
