Video Editor

The Foundation for Intentional Community (FIC) is seeking a Video Editor to work closely with our Communications Team to produce videos for our online courses and YouTube channel. The position involves organizing and editing video content from our Zoom events and other sources into short, creative, and informative videos about intentional community related topics. The ideal candidate is able to turn out “on-brand” videos quickly and timely, with a willingness to learn about intentional communities, the needs of our audience, and the kinds of content that will be most appealing.

Position Details

Commitment: 20 hours/month, first month trial period

Compensation: $15/hr and increasing based on performance, contracted
Location: Remote position, candidates must be in a time zone compatible with attending meetings during business hours in North American time zones

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Review and organize video content from the FIC’s events and courses
  • Plan the production of short videos for YouTube and pre-recorded course material, in collaboration with Communications Director
  • Edit footage and submit for review on planned timeline
  • Develop the brand and style of the FIC through video media

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Passion for intentional communities, ideally lives in or is starting a community
  • Excellent video production and editing skills
  • Familiarity with YouTube and content creation for YouTube
  • Has reliable internet connection and decent laptop/PC
  • Ability to work in highly collaborative remote teams
  • Well organized and timely communicator
