About Presenting with the FIC (click to view)
Our weekly online learning opportunities are geared towards people looking to join or start an intentional community, as well as those already living in community.
These learning opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- 1 hour interviews or social networking sessions
- 1-1.5 hour panels and webinars (with ~30 min Q&A)
- 2 hour workshops (interactive with breakout groups)
- 2-day and 3-day trainings (~2 hours each day)
About the Sessions
- For each session, we provide the Zoom hosting, recording, and technical assistance, including managing the waiting room, participants, breakout rooms, polling, chat box and Q&A.
- Event listings are posted on our website at ic.org (with ~41k unique monthly visitors) and promoted through our email list (~41k subscribers) and social media pages (~21k followers). We will work with you to strengthen the marketing text and images to suit our audience.
- For interviews, panels, webinars, networking events and workshops, we usually have anywhere from 50 -100 live participants per event.
- Tickets are on a sliding scale: $5-$20 for shorter events, $10-$40 for longer events
Your Role as a Presenter
Speakers may promote their own products and services briefly during their session. We ask presenters who do so to consider volunteering their time or accepting smaller compensation in exchange for the marketing opportunity. Presenters are compensated up to $100 per session. In addition to this, we can also offer one of the following:
- A classified or banner ad on our website, which has 40,000 unique visitors and 300,000 pageviews to our website each month (up to $200 value)
- A year-long FIC Membership (up to $222 value)
- Free entry to one of our online courses (up to $249 value)
Additionally, you are invited to join our Affiliate Program to earn 10% commission on all sales secured through your affiliate link for your event.
We’re looking to grow the diversity of the speakers we partner with, in both experience and identity. BIPOC presenters are especially encouraged to submit proposals.
Expectations
Our aim is to provide you with an easy and enjoyable platform for sharing your expertise. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for our audience. Therefore, we expect presenters to maintain a professional manner and conscious conduct during all sessions, in a way that supports the values and mission of the FIC. Discrimination, verbal abuse, and micro-aggressions will not be tolerated. Misconduct is grounds for canceling future sessions with us and forfeiting compensation.
