SUMMARY:7 Membership Questions All Cooperative Groups Need to Address
DESCRIPTION:April 19 | 5-6pm Eastern \n7 Membership Questions All Cooperative Groups Need to Address\n\nREGISTER NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Laird Schaub for a webinar unpacking the essential questions about membership in an intentional community — who\, how\, when\, and why people join your group. \n\nWhile most cooperative groups do not discuss all these questions or even any of them\, all groups should. The important thing to keep in mind is not so much what is the right answer — there are many of them — as it is to avoid the price of ambiguity down the line. \n \nGet clear on the membership questions your community should be asking now in this short\, FREE webinar. Ultimately\, it’s far cheaper to wrestle with these questions before you’re in trouble than to attempt to establish guidelines once you’re in the soup. \n \n If your group already has agreements or at least a working understanding about how you want to handle these basic areas\, great! If you haven’t gone there yet\, you’ll be returning with homework from this session. \n \nSo\, here’s what we’ll address: \n \n\nWhat is it exactly that members are joining? \nWhat are the rights & responsibilities of a member?\nWhat are the rules of engagement?\nWhat is expected level of engagement of a member?\nHow do members want to recieve feedback?\nHow will conflict be resolved?\nWhat are the exit paths for members?\n\n\nKey outcomes of this webinar:\n\nA deeper understanding of what it means to be a member of cooperative groups\nWhat membership questions groups should anticipate discussing\nHow to be a savvy shopper when considering whether to join a cooperative group\n\nThis is a one-hour teaser for an upcoming 5-week course\, Designing a Community Membership Process. This immersive program will include a comprehensive mandate for the membership team and why it’s work is never done\, how to screen prospectives for a good fit\, what it takes to effectively orient and integrate new members\, and much more. \n\n\nREGISTER NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet the Facilitator\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLaird Schaub \nLaird’s specialty is up-tempo inclusive meetings that engage the full range of human input\, teaching groups to work creatively with conflict and diversity—all the while being ruthless about capturing as much product as possible. He also helped found the Foundation for Intentional Community\, where he served as the main administrator for 28 years. In addition to his expertise in community living\, he’s parlayed his passion for good process into a consulting business focused on cooperative group dynamics\, styled CANBRIDGE (Consensus And Network Building for Resolving Impasse and Developing Group Effectiveness)\, since 1987. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe Online Event Experience\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nLive Zoom Sessions\nNothing pre-recorded here! SUMMARY:Resolving Conflict & Achieving Inner Harmony [2-part Training]
DESCRIPTION:Mar 23 & 25 | 11am-1pm Eastern \n2-Part Training\n\nResolving Conflict & Achieving Inner Harmony \n\nREGISTER NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin author and wholebody facilitator\, Alex Maunder\, for a 2-part interactive training on Conflict Resolution.\n\nExperiencing conflict in your community? Relationships? Inner world? It’s time to drop into the body to connect with new possibilities that are surrounding you all the time. Possibilities you may have been unable to see due to the stress and trauma of conflict. \n \nNo community can thrive unless each individual member feels seen\, heard\, and integrated within the circle as a whole. No individual can be at peace and feel whole until conflicted and excluded parts of the personality have been seen\, heard\, and integrated within the whole person. \nThis cannot be done with the cognitive mind alone. Only through the ability to sense inside the body and get the “felt sense” of the whole thing can the inner wisdom be activated that will lead to a “felt shift”. This is the inner guidance that leads to deep inner transformation and integration. \n \nJoin this two-part training and learn how to connect with unique parts of yourself to enable genuine conflict resolution within your community. \n\nThrough this two-part session\, you will:\n\nLearn how to drop inside your body container and connect with the “Felt Sense” of the whole situation\nDiscover how to find the words\, phrases or images to help articulate that inner felt sense\nLearn how to connect with different parts within yourself and to understand how they view the situation\nDiscover how to allow your body wisdom to give you a “felt shift” and reintegrate conflicted parts\nPlan any action steps that need to follow within your community\n\n\n\nREGISTER NOW\n\n\n\n\n“What a relief it is to get away from all the contortions of the cognitive mind and to realise that if we can just open up to the wisdom of the body\, all the issues are held there and all the answers can emerge from within. Just give the process space and time and new possibilities emerge from the living connections within.” \n-Chris R. \n\n“It was such a pleasure to work with Alex. His sensitivity and inner awareness enables him to follow my inner process with total clarity.” \n-Liz S. \n\n\n\n\nTraining Facilitator\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlex Maunder\nAlex has been a professional Alexander Technique Teacher for the last 34 years and also a Focusing Trainer with the Focusing Institute in New York. He taught week-long workshops in Wholebody Focusing at the Findhorn community from 2013 – 2018. Participants were delighted and enthusiastic about their new-found ability to sense inside their body containers and to find the words to articulate what was going on for them. This added depth and clarity to interpersonal communications and helped in the smooth running of the community. \nHe has written two books: “Let Your Life Flow” (C W Daniel\, 2002) on the Alexander Technique; and “Wholebody Focusing” (www.lulu.com\, 2017). \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe Online Event Experience\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nLive Zoom Sessions\nNothing pre-recorded here! Including: \n\nLooking at the intersectionality of our identities\nExamining our “internal systems” of governance\n\nWho has power and who does not? There she seeded restorative practices\, including opening a small yoga studio\, facilitating a permaculture garden for formerly incarcerated men\, prioritizing mending with her family of origin\, and teaching art at a juvenile detention center. Now she weaves creativity & healing together in ritual and song\, by offering community song circles\, ecstatic grief ritual\, and group work aimed at dismantling internalized white supremacy and patriarchy. She currently leads song for Earthkeeper Wisdom School\, supports the vision of her mentors at Holistic Resistance\, and is recording an album of singalong mantra for the soul journey including her much beloved “You don’t have to know the way\, the Way Knows the Way.” \n \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n \n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe Online Event Experience\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nLive Zoom Sessions\nNothing pre-recorded here!
