In Filling Leadership Positions in Your Community\, we’ll unpack what might be happening in a community that struggles to fill and maintain leadership positions.  \n \nJoin us for this 2-hour workshop to learn how to best fill leadership roles for your group as well as get a taste for the pre-recorded\, 10-hour course\, Power & Leadership in Community. \n \nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn about:\n\nwhy leadership roles are necessary\nwhy it’s important to describe a positive model of cooperative leadership\, and define good and bad uses of power\nwhy it’s important for communities to be proactive in talking about how they view power and leadership\nwhat’s included in the pre-recorded\, Power & Leadership in Community course\n\n\nAbout your presenter\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLaird Schaub\n \nLaird’s specialty is up-tempo inclusive meetings that engage the full range of human input\, teaching groups to work creatively with conflict and diversity—all the while being ruthless about capturing as much product as possible. He lived for four decades at Sandhill Farm\, an income-sharing rural community that he helped found.Laird also helped found the Foundation for Intentional Community\, where he served as the main administrator for 28 years. In 1987\, he created a self-insurance fund for healthcare among income-sharing communities called PEACH (Preservation of Equity Accessible for Community Health) that he ran for 22 years.In addition to his expertise in community living\, he’s parlayed his passion for good process into a consulting business focused on cooperative group dynamics\, styled CANBRIDGE (Consensus And Network Building for Resolving Impasse and Developing Group Effectiveness)\, since 1987. \n \nRead his blog Laird’s Commentary on Community and Consensus. \n \n\n\n\nLocation\n \nYou’ll get the Zoom link after you register in your confirmation email.
