Join community healer LaRahna Hughes for a workshop on how to have healing conversations during troubling times.

About the event

Social First Responders help strengthen our communities. They are the go-to people when there’s an immediate emotional health or safety concern.

Social First Responders are created when individuals are trained and experienced in conducting healing conversations. When we have this knowledge, our communities, groups, and organizations are better able to be socially resilient during times of conflict and crisis. Additionally, these communities are better able to achieve social wellness and wholeness before, during, and after times of conflict and crisis, as well as during times of peace.

Healing Conversations for Troubling Times is an interactive introduction and learning experience in the use and application of SocialTech/Social Triage, the set of tools developed to help individuals and organizations transition to sustainable-value-based living. This workshop will introduce how to use these tools for trauma mitigation, conflict resolution, and conflict de-escalation.

During this workshop you will learn:

  • A model for mapping trauma
  • A structured framework for understanding trauma and reversing its impact
  • Tools to create healing conversations and resolve conflict
