Description
Even when groups successfully create a culture that supports engagement with conflict, there will be times when attempts to work through it on the side do not succeed, or when the group determines that it cannot afford to delay engagement on the issue in which the conflict has emerged to allow for interpersonal work to be done in another setting. Thus, groups need the will and the capacity to work through conflict in plenary. In this class we’ll lay out when to do this, and how.
Distilled from more than three decades of working as a professional facilitator and trainer for cooperative groups, your instructor, Laird Schaub, will cover what you need to know to move through conflict with as much grace as possible.
In this class you’ll learn about:
- working a dyad
- working conflict in plenary
This class is suitable for people looking to visit or join a community, people looking to start/build a community, and people already living in community.
