Are you seeking a community to join?

Well, here’s some good news, we know communities looking for you! 950 intentional communities are open to new members right now. See the full list here.

People choose to join intentional community for many reasons – better quality of life, sense of purpose, connection with people, opportunities to make a difference. The process starts with learning as much as you can about communal living and the various kinds of community models.

Spend some time browsing our online directory. You can search communities by location, type, and many other selection criteria using our advanced search page. If you check “accepting new members,” you will only see communities that are open to the idea of your joining.

The next best thing to do is to become a Member of FIC. As a Member, you’ll have access to all the back issues of Communities Magazine, plus a 10% discount on all the books, videos, and learning materials sold on ic.org.

A $50 Individual Membership is your gateway into the communities movement. You can learn about all membership benefits and how to join here.

The pathway into community is beautiful, and sometimes challenging. We want to help make it easier. If you can’t find an answer through our website, please be in touch with specific questions.

Good luck on the journey!
