You can turn $5 into $100 and support a thriving communities movement!

Dear Friend of FIC,

Last week we announced that the Foundation for Intentional Community (FIC) has been challenged by the Fund for Democratic Communities (F4DC) to demonstrate that there are people out there that share the value of community. People just like you.

F4DC has offered us an incentive grant, which, with your help, can fulfill our fundraising targets so critical to FIC’s mission. For every new monthly donor that joins our Giving Hands program, F4DC will grant us $100, up to a total of $6,000. Your commitment of $5 or more each month will help secure this time-limited grant opportunity.

>>Sign up for GIVING HANDS!<<

Here’s why a few of our committed supporters took the extra step to join our Giving Hands circle of friends…

“I have supported the FIC for decades as it has steadily become more helpful and relevant. And now, more than ever, the dedicated, and energetic board and staff are doing us a great service with clear new vision. I find it better for my own finances to donate monthly, automatically, and I know we help out extra by making donations in a steady predictable way.” – Dale Rudesill, Chico, CA

“Monthly giving is the way to go; it’s quick and easy, and even better, easier to give a good, sustaining amount without feeling that little “ouch” in your wallet that writing a check for a big sum can sometimes induce. I feel great knowing I’m helping support FIC with a solid donation, and it’s great for them because they can do more planning to help advance the ideals and vision we all share.” – Judy Arginteanu, Richmond, VA

Your contribution to this growing grassroots movement comes at a time when, more than ever, we need to support and uplift cooperative culture. FIC has a big mission, to support intentional communities in showing the way to a sustainable, equitable, and healthy future. We provide on the ground support to the people doing the work of cooperative culture change. People changing the world every day though how they live.

Still on the fence about joining Giving Hands? Not sure what impact it can make? Watch this inspirational video I created to demonstrate how your monthly commitment can bring FIC and the communities movement to new heights.

For every person or household that signs up in Giving Hands before September 30, with a recurring monthly donation of $5 or more, the Foundation for Intentional Community (FIC) will receive $100 from the Fund for Democratic Communities (F4DC), for a maximum of $6,000. The Giving Hands monthly giving program accepts credit cards and is compatible with Paypal for withdrawals from checking or savings accounts. Enrollment is intended for 12 months or more; however, you can cancel your enrollment at any time. The Foundation for Intentional Community Is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
