Stefan Geyer, a London resident active in the U.K. permaculture community, is releasing a new book called “Zen in the Art of Permaculture Design.” It’s not a guidebook to specific permaculture practices, but a reflective look at the ways permaculture principles can inspire change in our lives and communities.

According to the book’s copy,

“Permaculture is a new regenerative culture, and permaculture design is the method to get there… Each page of this pocket-sized book … presents a permaculture idea or theme as a catalyst for creative thought. Together they articulate a process of awakening that can help us become intimately aware of how nature works.”

Geyer combines his insights as a beekeeper, hotelier, and permaculture instructor to get readers thinking creatively about ways to better care for our planet, families, and society.

Reviewers call it a “real and strikingly original contribution to the permaculture literature” and “a timely reminder that permaculture design is about keeping it light, keeping it simple, and just flipping doing it.”

As Geyer puts it, “Often erroneously thought of as an organic gardening technique, Permaculture is more accurately viewed as a worldwide collaborative effort to redesign our impact on the planet.”

You can order the book here or at Amazon. Learn more about permaculture in the U.K. at LondonPermaculture.org, or check out Geyer’s radio show on the topic at 21stcenturypermaculture.com
