Intentional communities show how the power of cooperation can create better lives. 100,000 people in the US are estimated to live in communities designed for social enrichment, environmental responsibility, and economic equity. We need to support these solutions and amplify their stories.
For 30 years, the Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC) has served as a platform for communities to connect with each other as well as a hub for people discovering community for the first time. We are committed to creating space within our movement for voices we don’t normally hear and communicating to the wider public the value of life in community.
Community is a pathway to a better world.
The Communications Director is a newly formed position reflecting a deepening commitment to FIC’s mission — to support and promote the development of intentional communities, as a pathway towards a more sustainable, cooperative, and just world.
I have served on the FIC Board since 2015 and I’m delighted to step into a new role. As FIC’s Communications Director, I will be updating and improving our online presence – our Facebook page, growing collection of videos on YouTube, weekly Newsletter, Communities Magazine, and of course, the wealth of information and resources at ic.org.

Community is my home. I have lived in several community projects around the world and visited many over the past decade. My mission is to grow networks towards a more regenerative world. I travel to visit sustainability initiatives, speak at events, facilitate groups, and improve the communications of mission-driven projects.
In addition to serving on the Board of FIC, I’m also a Board member of the Global Ecovillage Network.
