Communities Presenting in September

CoHousing Houston

We are a forming cohousing community in Houston Texas. We have purchased land, completed our design and are gearing up for construction of a 33-unit cohousing community. Our site is a walkable urban area inside Loop 610 with good access to public transportation. Our membership ranges from retired corporate execs to young families with children and everything in between. We’re looking for enthusiastic future cohousers to join us in this adventure.

Junction Village Guelph

Something incredible, unique, and magical — though not yet totally clear — is taking root here in Guelph, Ontario in Canada. Our cluster of houses close to downtown Guelph is gradually emerging into a dynamic, diverse, multigenerational community. It feels bold and transformational. We are on the verge of something new — a place where people can create lives that feel meaningful, connected and inspired. There are core members who live here long term, people who live close by and use the communal spaces we have created, and people who pass through, taking ideas and learnings from their time with us to transplant elsewhere, or to grow something freshly inspired. Our community started as an idea — seeds that we planted have taken root over the past 20 years and have grown into this place called The Junction Village Guelph.

Silver Sage Village

Silver Sage Village is an adult cohousing community in Boulder, Colorado with a common vision of aging in community and supporting one another while striving to live together with compassion, generosity and respect. We come together from diverse backgrounds and a variety of life experiences. We hope to meet the challenges that this brings by striving for mutual understanding founded on respect, caring and kindness. We also appreciate that our differences bring valuable resources that enhance our experience of living in community, and we value the contribution of every member. We are committed to establishing a balance between our private lives and our contributions to the common good, thereby creating a beautiful place and supportive community in which to live and share with one another.

Testimonials for Virtual Tour of Intentional Communities

“This is my first exposure to intentional living situations. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the possibilities and the underlying thinking that informs this kind of living choice. The presenters were excellent. It was great to see the different settings and to hear the various questions related to these three living situations. Thank you so much for this presentation.”

-Leslie Slate

“Great photos and narratives about the philosophy and diversity of communities. I learned about thinks I didn’t know and was given the opportunity to ask all my questions, which were answered in a comprehensive manner.”
