About the event

Whether you live in a small community or a large community, in an urban or rural setting, with lots of children or few children, one thing we all know for sure is that we want a safe and healthy place to raise our kids.

Intentional Communities can provide that for your family, but what are ways in which our expectations may make this process more challenging? Intentional Community can provide access to childcare, but it’s not a round-the-clock daycare. Where do we draw the line when it comes to how the community will come together to help raise our kids?

In this workshop, you will discover the many ways in which Intentional Community can be a wonderful place to raise children, and how to set appropriate expectations that serve both the children and the community as a whole.

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • understand different types of community
  • learn what community isn’t and set reasonable expectations
  • be inspired by what community can provide for your family
