A project called the Ecovillage at River Landing is on the Saskatoon city council agenda for tonight. The ecovillage is a $21 million project of the Prairie Ecovillage Development Corporation.
It’s hard to tell how much of a sense of community this project will have. Is this an example of the Ecovillage name being co-opted by a mainstream developer? They do plan to have LEED-platinum buildings so their is some commitment to ecological practices.
