Diverse group of people engaging in community activities for a sustainable future.

Kim Kanney, FIC Co-Director

The smartest person in the room is the group.

Would you agree? The FIC team does and we think you, as a communitarian, probably do too.

Here’s the thing: we don’t presume to know what you want. We want you to be a part of the conversation and support us in making it happen with you.

How can we tap into the wisdom of the greater communities movement?
What role can the FIC play in that goal?

We want to co-create our future with you because we know it is only within a collaborative community that we create dynamic, diverse, and resilient ecosystems.

Over the next several weeks:

  • We are going to invite you into a series of conversations with us.
  • We want to talk about how to enhance networking opportunities and how to create a “community of communities”.
  • We want to explore what virtual learning in 2024 looks like and what partnership and mutual aid can do for the movement.

Will you join us in the conversation?

Yes? Awesome.

You can start by going to our donation page. There we are celebrating our achievements, envisioning our future ahead, and offering you options for how you can support our organization.

Next, go to the FIC Forum and join in on the conversation: What do you envision for the future of the FIC and the communities movement? Think big! Go wild! Ponder how to make it happen and who will be involved. This is our creative space.

And, lastly, stay in touch. Over the weeks we will continue to invite engagement so be sure to open your emails to find out ways you can co-create our future with us. We will be sharing collaborative events, a podcast episode with our new co-Director Daniel Greenberg, really amazing book sales, and more discussions in the forum. You won’t want to miss out.

Help us help you achieve all your dreams for living high quality and low impact lives together.

Thank you for showing up in these transformative times!

In Co-Creation,

Kim Kanney

FIC Co-Director
