UPDATE from the organizers: “This year’s conference has unfortunately been cancelled. We are postponing until 2017 to have more prep time and invite even more speakers and guests. Stay tuned!”

****

Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage has announced the dates and workshop lineup for the Midwest Sustainable Communities Conference, which will take place in Rutledge, MO, from July 2-4, 2016.

The event will celebrate “Interdependence Day” and offer a variety of ways for people to get more involved in intentional living:

“Workshops and networking sessions throughout the weekend will bring us new ideas for how to live sustainably, collectively. Program tracks will target the interests of aspiring community founders, current intentional community members, and folks wanting to deepen their understanding of the sustainability-community connection….Talks and casual conversation will bring us insight into the radical contributions community building can make to ending the worst social and ecological ills of our time.”

Some of the workshops that will be offered this year include “Holistic Animal Management,” “Climate Egalitarianism,” and “Simple Off-grid Solar.”

If you’re interested in proposing a talk or workshop, please e-mail co-organizer Ma’ikwe Ludwig. Presenters get free entry to the event, as well as meals and camping.

You can RSVP to the Facebook event or check out the event page for more info. Learn more about Dancing Rabbit on their website or via this video tour:
