Seeking Seasonal Opportunity to Share Sociocracy

Hello All,

I am looking to be a seasonal guest and co-worker at an intentional community that would benefit from freely offered trainings in sociocracy. I am currently involved in a seasonal community living experiment with a couple of well-aligned friends in Bellingham, Washington, U.S.A., and would love to go somewhere sunny and warm over the winter months- around December-February. During this time, I will be wrapping up my certification program as a trainer of sociocracy, and will need to carry out several trainings to earn my certificate. I would love if those trainings could benefit a couple of intentional communities- and would love even more if one of those communities were in a tropical place I could retreat to for the winter!

I am looking for a mutually beneficial cultural and energetic exchange- one that uplifts, connects, and supports all involved.

In case you are not familiar with sociocracy, it is a governance model based in consent decision-making and circular hierarchy, or hierarchy of specificity. You can learn more about sociocracy by visiting Sociocracy For All, the virtual school I am completing my certification through.

A bit about me and my offerings…

I see myself as a creative problem-solver, initiator, and someone who naturally holds the whole and integrates the parts. Collaboration, resourcefulness, curiosity, openness, and compassion are all very important to me. I also see myself as a culinary artist and am interested in growing wholesome food and preparing it with love for the nourishment of all. Additionally, I would love to practice the healing art of reiki with those who could benefit from it and hold space for or participate in conscious movement practices.

Worktrade Opportunities on Big Island Hawaii

We are continuing our work-trade program at Bridge Hawaii for the right people on this beautiful 86-acre land located along the Hāmākua Coast. Ideally, we want to host those individuals who can help with the garden and who can support with build projects for up to a 3 month stay. This work-trade would include lodging, food staples, community kitchen, running hot water showers, off-grid electricity, and laundry. There is access to high speed wi-fi. We often have a car that can be reserved. We also have full bar signal strength with Verizon cellphone service. We have about 2 acres of permaculture garden that needs to be cared for including; weeding, planting, picking up mulch, some tree trimming, ect. We are currently in a building stage on the land. We have a few current grant projects we are working on and some build projects that are underway. We are an intentional community with about 8 permanent residents. There are rescue dairy cows, mini cows, mini donkeys, horses, a donkey, cats, dogs, and active bee hives. We are a drug and alcohol “free” space. A glass of wine or beer with dinner is fine, but absolutely no day drinking or parties. We have a meditation temple and many waterfall pools that are wonderful for swimming. Close to some of the nicest beaches on island. We have snorkeling gear and a kayak. Since this is an animal sanctuary, we limit the consumption of meat on the land.
