The House of Wonder & Mayhem is a queer-oriented 4-person community home in Silverlake, Los Angeles, inspired by the co-ops in the Bay Area. We’re a place where people can be their vulnerable selves, get weird, create, and connect.
A community of like-minded souls are committed to community, art, social impact, eco-friendliness, exploration, and getting outdoors. We love dance, late-night intellectual conversations, eco-friendliness, polyamory, practicing emotional relating, music, tea, making art with friends, cuddle puddles, exploring consciousness, and pushing the bounds of experience and self-expression, and welcoming others in to do the same.
We often open our home for community events like potlucks, poetry nights, Burning Man decompression, Temple Nights, mixers, ceremonies, and house concerts. We welcome your creativity and energy in building this community!
We’re also responsible adults who value clear communication, healthy boundaries, and mutual respect. We create a focused, low-key environment, especially during the week, and also celebrate moments of chaos and fun.
We are looking for people who have done work in their lives to embody these principles, who are dedicated to self-growth and self-improvement, and using their gifts to make the world a better place. We’re especially excited to speak with you if you have experience living in and creating community.
We have created the house as a queer space. We welcome housemates and guests of all backgrounds, regardless of their background, identity, or ethnicity — and center the queer experience.
A queer-oriented home for creative souls committed to community, art, social impact, eco-friendliness, exploration, and getting outdoors.
