The Villages at Crest Mountain is a comprehensive green-built neighborhood in Asheville, North Carolina focusing on fellowship, sustainability, organic food production and green building practices. This affordable intentional Eco-community encourages social interaction among people of diverse backgrounds and life-stages. The community is composed of two phases. Phase 1 consists of 12 acres of flat land, with over 2 acres of preserved green space in the center for gardens, gathering and recreation. Homes are placed around the perimeter of the green space creating a pocket neighborhood through garden development design. Phase 2 is the hillside above, offering increased elevation, mountain and city views, privacy, and larger floor plans. Homes are placed among the hardwood tree forest with traditional mountain homes and lot sizes. Lot prices begin at $62,000 with home and land packages beginning at $264,900.
The builders and home plans shown on the website are recommended based on the design of our project and the quality of their workmanship; however, you can select your own builder. Custom home plans are allowed, as well as adjustments to current plans, if you desire. To date we have 30 lot sales, with 23 homes complete and more currently under construction. Walking trails, organic gardens, children’s playground, and pot luck meals keep our residents active with fun activities. Orchards and vineyards have been planted and our central mail center is in use. Our Homeowners Association coordinates social activities, governance, community meals, food production, exercise opportunities, shared resources, walking trails, edible landscaping, and more. We have on site vacation rentals, which we offer at discounted prices for our real estate guests.
