My name is Eilidh McIntosh. I’m a Scottish private investigator, writer, political organiser and mediator in training. After losing my home in an Alloa fire in 2025, I’ve thought a great deal about what I actually need from a home – and it turns out, not very much.
I’m interested in intentional communities around Edinburgh and the Lothians where people retain their own homes and independence while sharing responsibility for land, gardens, workshops, common spaces and one another.
My ideal home is a small, highly insulated shepherd’s hut with solar, a woodburner and utilities, surrounded by a living, pollinator-friendly garden rather than an immaculate lawn.
I’m autistic and ADHD, value clear communication and private space, but enjoy being useful. I can contribute research, OSINT, writing, IT, organisation, mediation skills, cooking, enthusiastic gardening and the boring administrative machinery that keeps good ideas alive.
