What If… Intentional Community… is what we could have named our space.
This is a VERY niche community focused on individuals feeling committed to living in and training leaders to live in the new, emerging paradigm. What is the emerging paradigm? That’s a much longer, deeper, and more nuanced set of conversations and this community is for those who want to have those challenging conversations and then support each other in the actions we are inspired to take to create training retreats and actual community build projects to…well… build community, intentionally, in real-time.
The capacity as I see it…
9 community members (and I’m only counting adults)
Private living suites (we also have semiprivate rooms with shared bath)
Each additional community member would contribute $500 monthly (temporary residency up to 6 months) or $300 monthly (permanent residency – after 6 months in community)
(approx. estimations but the costs are holding pretty true to this in real-time)
By the way (I’m LaRahna Hughes, I’m the one updating the post and I instigate stuff so there are a lot of offshoot projects and things happening too). I serve as the household manager currently and I am the Way Station anchor person and the primary permanent resident. And also I currently manage the Riverview Umbrella Guest House and the Blanket House (a short-stay respite house for women).
Maintaining the household includes:
Healing Tools – the Social Tech provides tools for this.
Rent
Utilities
Internet
Food/Groceries
Facilitating household maintenance and the actual maintenance
This is a starting point because I feel community MUST be built, created, repaired, and recreated in community. In this community, it starts with a requirement to learn about the Social Tech that we have implemented from the beginning. It’s our best foundation. AND our foundation will grow and evolve. We all will be changed in the process… we hope for the better.
If an individual(s) is interested in considering this community there are several points of connection as we see it. If you see another point of connection, reach out and let us know.
Points of connection … we think any of these would be a great connection point for you to connect with us:
Connection point 1 – Check out our stuff online and on social media. It’s a bit like breadcrumbs. We got a ton of content but we decided that we have no business doing much social media stuff. It’s not our lane. So we do our best. The randomness you see is our best. We’d love for a team member who thinks they are the social media maestro that this team needs to consider joining us. So…find the stuff we’ve got out on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or our websites. We try to link as many of the spots on the www.NoWastedTime.com page. But we have stuff in a bunch of places in a perfectly imperfect way. Let magic help you find our info. Seriously. But check out our stuff. We put our basic social tech tools on YouTube for free so that no matter what community you choose to live in, ours or the one you are in…we think the tools help.
Connection point 2 – Develop relationship with us. Reach out. Relationships are super important to us.
Connection point 3 – Book a week long healing vacation retreat – it is a structured experience of learning and using the tools nestled in a relaxing, healing, and luxurious week here in our community. You can select the retreat booking link on our website (www.GlobalUndergroundRailroad.com) and that starts the process of booking a Healing Vacation Retreat.
Connection point 4 – For friends who have participated in our Healing Vacation Retreat, there is a standing invitation to apply for residency here in the co-housing space. For friends who have completed the Healing Vacation Retreat, they can book an initial (up to) 6-month stay at our current alumni rate of a were bit under $500/month for a private suite in either the Way Station or Guest House. Our residency requirement is participation in the weekly Healing Circle/House Gathering. That’s the expectation.
Connection point 5 – For individuals who have lived in residency for at least 6 months, they can apply to transition into being a full-time resident (which allow the use of the facilities for retreats and training – it gives them the potential to earn income through the use of the center for healing purposes); or an option may be extended for temporary residency (often a month to month commitment).
Connection point 6 – Another point of connection is to just reach out to us. Send us a message by email or through the connection link on our websites. Or find us on the various social media platforms and send us a message. Or reach out through the information on our linktr.ee.
Connection point 7 – Send us a message by telepathy BUT be advised we are really bad at mind reading. So we may miss those messages. So if this evenly remotely sounds interesting…reach out. We’re waiting for you. We need help rebuilding communities. And doing it from a base in Ecuador is way cool! So come live with us and help us do that, by us learning how to live community together… and do stuff!
That’s my best sales pitch. We are a few eclectic people who want to live better together and build more spaces in the world like that too. You’re invited. Come check us out.

A group of folks committed to finding and living their purpose, who are personally committed to removing the obstructions (healing) to living that life in as fullness and with as much love and joy as possible. This group would also be committed to finding the points of connection in their life with the others in the community.
This community is about relationships. If you are interested, our intake process will start with some conversations. Suppose there is mutual interest in pursuing a further connection. In that case, we may extend an invitation for an unhosted visit, a hosted visit, and/or an invitation to participate in one of our healing retreats.
For those further interested, we have a 3-month exploratory opportunity in residence.
We have a lot of flexibility but this is a general guideline that we will be following for new member consideration.
