We are a group of women/afabs re-forming community. We are ecological, multicultural/multilingual, and relational. We live in an 8-bedroom strawbale house on a half-acre established orchard with space for more projects. We’re pooling our skills for positive culture change. We host frequent guests and events. We seek skilled people to join us.
We’re a multicultural group of women/afabs living cooperatively with each other and the greater ecologies.

The whole membership decides collectively.
Generally seek agreement, but have backup methods when consensus isn’t reached.
Power and responsibility are shared relatively equally among members.
As a small community, we make decisions by positively building consensus. Consensus-building emphasizes acting for the good of the house rather than any one individual’s needs. Smaller “co-op” teams might manage aspects of the community that don’t involve everyone. Building trust and ‘social capital’ empowers people to seek feedback, implement their ideas, and be willing to modify. We all commit to working through conflicts. Majority vote can remove membership, ensuring a coherent group of people who truly want to be working together.
Members maintain separate personal finances with minimal sharing.
Regular fees: $400
Labor: Yes (5 hrs/week)
As a re-forming community, we are exploring community income generation based on the skills and interests of members. We expect to be hosting educational and culture-building events.
