Weaving Water is a multi-generational community in Durham, NC, on 12+ acres adjacent to the beautiful Eno River State Park. We will have twelve duplexes for 24 family units who will share a common house, playground, community garden, workshop, and 9+ acres of forested land surrounding the community. We are environmentally conscious in our building standards as well as in our stewardship of the land. We are looking for individuals or families who share our vision of living in harmony with the earth while developing a healthy and joyful community that will ultimately have a positive impact on the world around us. Please visit our website at https://www.weavingwaternc.org for more details about our community, and feel free to join one of our regular zoom orientation meetings to learn more about us. We have several phase 2 units available (move-in approximately spring of 2026).
We are creating a collaborative neighborhood that encourages people to slow down and connect with family, community, and the natural world.
We value being a multi-generational and inclusive community in which our personal experiences allow for us to share, grow, and learn from each other.
We respect, celebrate, and engage with nature. We intend to live in harmony with nature.
We consider our impact on the natural world in our decision-making.
We value building connections and trust and invest in learning to govern collaboratively and navigate conflict.
We value community celebration and play, through both spontaneous and planned events, within our neighborhood and greater community.
We value honoring commitments.
We value honesty, active listening, and acceptance of differences. We act with compassion in a spirit of support, trust, and open-mindedness.
Prospective community members will start as Explorers, move into Associate Membership, and then are eligible to become Full Members.
