Moonrise Meadow Collective is a forming women-led spiritual eco commune focused on permaculture, ethical land stewardship, connection to nature, feminism, working towards food/energy sovereignty, spiritual growth, radical honesty, mutual aid, collective support, and holistic healing with an emphasis on healing trauma together as a group.
Our focus is on women, but we are a safe haven and affirming space for queer folks, non-binary folks, LGBT+ folks, polyamorus folks, BIPOC folks, trauma survivors, abuse survivors, and other marginalized groups. Bigotry is never welcome here.
As of 2026, we are newly forming on 11 acres of meadow, forest, hills, and marsh with 1 established house that is shared communally. We are starting a garden, and laying plans for solar panels, permaculture, communal space improvements, and more. In our home, we have a Sacred Space room for spiritual ceremonies, meditation, yoga, and group trauma healing.
Our goal for the next 3-5 years is to use our current land and home as an experimental communal living project in which we all grow/heal together, learn to be good stewards of the land, learn from each other, and find a core group that will continue the mission in the next phase.
Our 5-10 year goal is to purchase 100+ acres in northern Michigan and begin a new chapter there with eco buildings (cob, earth bag, earth ship), more communal spaces, a spiritual retreat center, more eco-friendly agriculture, energy sovereignty, and food sovereignty.
What Guides Us:
The deep mission is to break cyclesof intergenerational pain/trauma by actively reconnecting the body, mind and spirit to the land. It’s about using the physical labor of permaculture/regenerative agriculture and the vulnerability of radical honesty as tools to rewire our nervous systems away from survival mode and into a state of shared feminine power. We are a laboratory for Cosmic Feminism in action. The true goal is to physically and spiritually embody the balance of feminine energy that the world lacks right now, using the seasons, the soil, and the safety of the group for that transformation.
Our spirituality is not dogmatic. We focus on the universal connection of energy that all of us have equal access to and equal responsibility to care for and nurture within our own healing journeys. We believe in the conscious rebraiding of spirit, body, and mind that modern society has systematically forced to split apart and fray.

3. If it’s a good fit, we will reach out to you to give you more information.
4. We will schedule a video interview or phone interview. From there, we will get to know each other better, go over any details, answer any questions, etc.
5. After the interview, we can plan a site visit if you are located close by and wish to visit first.
6. Together, we will plan a move in date, work arrangements, living arrangements, and finalize any details.
A few people (not elected by the broader community) make the major decisions.
Generally seek agreement, but have backup methods when consensus isn’t reached.
Power and responsibility are shared relatively equally among members.
Members contribute a percentage of income to community funds.
