I own 5 acres. Ive been here 6 months, as of the time of this listing, and im making it into a community where anyone decent should be able to homestead and make a place for themselves, no charge (rent)
Free* room and board. Im homesteading here, entirely off grid. Ive built myself a room, so far, aswell as another double room for storage and guests. I have 3 55 gallon water barrels (water is trucked in), solar panels, deep cycle batteries, and an inverter (for basic electricity) . Septic is currently being handled by taking wastewater to the neighbors place, as one would using an rv dump station, {this is not the end solution and will be remedied soon} and im saving up to install an on-site tank and thanks in advance for being patient and understanding while i work on gathering certain conveniences money could easily buy (most of my money goes to paying for the land).
You will be welcome to homestead here, be it rv, camper, tiny house, or whatever is currently available. I would LOVE to have a room pre-available for you, which is why i built the second room (more than 90% of my moneyhas been going into home-improvements), however, i think itd be great if youd help me aquire the next set of 12 4’x8′ plywood boards (300$) and the framework 2x4s and 4x4s (100$) to build the next room : )
Im not here to line my pocket or profit from your stay, but helping the community out by buying some wood to make another room for the /next/ guest, to replace the guestroom the community gives you to take up in, or chiping into my savings for the septic tank would really be a help in pulling ‘the neighborly weight’. Theres no money requirements to be here, no labor requirement from me (but youve got to pull your own weight, help build or bring your own shelter, stuff like that).
Feel free to text me to arrange a call time. Active conversation that could lead to residency is certainly welcome.
Everyone who dosent cause others unnecessary problems deserves shelter they can rely on to be there for them, without constantly needing to pay. We dont want you to go without, and everyone here will do our best to let you just live, as long as you can do the same for us.
