What we do

we are the midst of getting a bit more intentional on this beautiful refuge of an island that has been carefully made a safe refuge just a short paddle away from the Peninsula. mangrove was planted all the way around the island and many trees were planted as well. the main open space is beautiful, soft grass, flowers and trees so you feel like you’re in a tropical getaway …and you are! there is one business on the island. It is a creativity and wellness retreat center, offering a space to do solo couple and friend retreats in a teeny home on the island. we would like to expand this somewhat and invite other people who are Artists, wellness specialists and people interested in consciousness expansion to offer retreats on the island. we would like to create a workshop space that people who are interested in art, meditation, breath, work, dance, drumming, and other fun, creativity, and cautiousness, raising event events. everyone lives alone in their own home or a home that they rent. we do not have apprenticeships or much in the way of co-housing but we do have properties for sale if you would like to live in paradise and focus on the things that truly matter to you with loving community.

Our Mission

we intend to create a safe place for people to live in harmony with nature in a place of beauty. We welcome Artists and other creative, as well as people interested in expanding their consciousness to live in our community and share mutual support in paradise. we treasure, authentic self expression, great communication and sincere seekers. we follow no particular dogmatic tradition and appreciate people who can appreciate difference. Live and let live, providing everybody feels safe and taken care of.

How to join

we would like to take time to interview to see that we are a good match. we are happy to walk people around here, video chat, or in person to see the island and the parcels that are currently available. once we’ve determined that someone is a good match, and that they are fiscally able to make the move we grant them the opportunity to make the purchase.

Basic expectations or agreements for members

if someone is seriously interested in living in paradise on a beautiful island with other like-minded people and they can afford to buy a piece of land …which costs about $100-$130,000 k per parcel, we are happy to take the time to show you all your options and help you navigate moving to a new country and getting set up in a new place. Belize is a wonderful home. we also have several properties with homes on them ready to purchase now. we also have other members who are aging out of the community and their houses will eventually become available.

Additional economic information

This is more like a neighborhood with an intentional community on it, except that it makes it a little more intimate since we share one little landmass, and a bunch of little boats to get to the mainland. We are in the process of changing membership.. There are people on the island who probably won’t participate in our activities, but eventually, some of these people will buy out and engaged members can buy in.

Do you feel called to help co-create a small, newly forming eco-spiritual community?

Old structures are crumbling. New ways of living are calling. We are answering that call. Wild Grace is an eco-spiritual community located in the Sierra foothills 30 minutes from Grass Valley, California. We recently completed new homes for those who feel called to our vision. Currently there are four of us living on this sacred 80 acres of land although we are a hub for an expanded neighborhood community. Many join us weekly for potlucks, expressive dance, Qi Gong, monthly musical gatherings, and seasonal celebrations in our temple, as well as tending to our orchard. We are excited to welcome others to join us on the land who are dedicating their lives to spiritual growth and ready to live in a more focused and intimate heart-centered lifestyle. Might that be you or someone you know? The fundamentals are simple. Spirit. We listen personally and collectively together most mornings, usually starting with a musical offering, a prayer, or a short reading, followed by about 40 minutes of what we call “sacred silence.” Heart Circles. About once a week we gather to share and listen. We are informed by authentic and compassionate communication practices. Nature. The land itself—an 80-acre oasis of field and forest perched above the wild and scenic South Yuba River—calls for our stewardship in the gardens, orchard, greenhouses, and general care. In turn, nature feeds us abundantly, both literally and spiritually. Interbeing. We join with others to share inspiration and connection as we host monthly gatherings of song, story and prayer that draws from the larger community in addition to other events we share with our closer neighbors. As we attend to these fundamentals, Grace flows to and through us—often in “Wild” or unexpected ways. Grace catalyzes through us, but is not something we possess. Because we all are connected, we feel that Grace actively transforms n
