Our home is an experiment in rewilding how we live — tending to the land, ourselves, and each other with curiosity and respect. Through practicing sustainability, shared responsibility and open communication in the messy but beautiful work of building community, we are healing, finding meaning, and deepening our connection to the world around us.
The concept for our community home originated in the summer of 2023 alongside another community home down the street that is organized around burning man principles as a hub for artists and dancers. We have since developed a clearer picture of our own values and purpose – veering deeper into sustainability and implementing permaculture principles as we develop a food forest on our half acre property. We enjoy music, crafts and dancing in our space as well in smaller, more intimate gatherings while still enjoying larger gatherings and events with our sister community home.
We envision a space that inspires people to grow more of their own food, develop awareness of our interdependence with nature and brings neighbors and neighborhoods together to make changes to our suburbs and the norms that have become so deeply established there.
We ask for at least a month to get to know someone through phone calls and ideally a visit to the property prior to moving in. After move-in, we will have a 6 month trial with a 1 and 3 month check in to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable and that a solid rapport is growing. The lease is month to month with a 30 day notice required for moving out or 60 days if we are they ones asking you to leave. This is an intimate house setting and we want everyone here to feel friendly with each other if not family.
Please reach out to Megan, the founder, to coordinate a visit of the space. We have a guest room and can usually accomdate at least 1 person at a time.
