Recreational walking and olympic-sized pool and playing fields are located within an easily walkable mile or two. Shopping via bicycle or car is easy and convenient at a wide variety of stores within bicycling distance. Families can choose from a variety of middle and high schools in Ventura Unified School District as well as a variety of private schools in the area.
We grow fresh vegetables in back yards here year-round and enjoy fruit from cherimoya, loquat, strawberry guava, pineapple guava, mulberry, fig, apple, and pomegranate trees.
Staycations are definitely viable fun here, as our weather is wonderful year round and it takes about 10 minutes to drive to the beach on highways 126 or 101. Riding bus from here to Santa Barbara Airport is quite feasible and inexpensive if you want to fly.
