What we do

The Name Bem Viver (living well) came from concept Teko Porã, an indigenous word which means “embraces simplicity, interconnexion, and desire to share and support your neighbours” . The community started as a group in 2019, first composed by few friends who lived in São Paulo, and invited other people to participate. The community gathered through virtual meetings during covid 19 pandemic, inviting people from other locations to join the group. In 2020, we attended sociocracy course, which became our decision making process. We are a senior 50+ community, accepting members to join from 40 until 75 years old . Our own land is located 7 km from Mogi das Cruzes downtown, in an urban environmental preserved area. The project includes common social areas as a house with collective kitchen and refectory , other buildings with swimming pool , therapeutic and visitors rooms, artistic and craft studios as well. The architectural project has been approved by the city council, and the hired construction company plans to start the works next month.

Our Mission

Bem Viver intends to be a senior community, respecting the environment and promoting aging health.
