Bull City Commons is a diverse urban community guided by kindness, respect, and mutual support. Together we are creating an oasis that supports individual and community well-being.

Our community is in central Durham, within close walking distance to amenities, entertainment, and mass transit.
Our indoor spaces are open and airy, incorporate natural and artfully-crafted materials, and blend with our outdoor areas. Our community includes spaces that support privacy, group activities, and neighborhood interaction.

    Membership is largely self selecting. After filling out a membership questionnaire we invite potential members to a plenary circle meeting. This will give them a feel for what is involved in belonging to our community. If they choose to become members they meet with one of our financial advisers to verify eligibility. Then they must contribute on a schedule that is strictly tied to our development costs. There is no developer in this process so every dollar contributed goes toward the member’s residence.
