Connecting Land and Community: learning cooperative stewardship

About the Workshops

Overview

Thinking about starting an intentional community? Have land or considering buying land? This session is ideal for anyone who is looking to create community rooted on a piece of land. We will review the legal, social, cultural considerations you will face as you land your intentional community.

There is a growing movement of people who are gathering with beloved friends and family and cooperatively stewarding home, land and community. Together we will explore:

  • What are the patterns that this movement is taking?
  • How are people interfacing with and transforming the privatized infrastructure that dominates the world of real estate, finance, and zoning?
  • What kind of creative solutions are people using to adapt and thrive in a time of massive transition?
  • How can we participate in this culture change with personal practices that also dismantle the inner privatization that can make cooperating so challenging?

Join with Cassandra as we explore the personal and systemic patterns and practices that serve our collective future. May 13 @ 4-6pm Eastern.

Cassandra brings a wealth of experience as both a cooperative real estate agent and a community catalyst. She works with visionary projects on multiple scales to evolve existing infrastructure and to build new models rooted in ethics that center cooperation, stewardship and liberation.
