What is a way of life that expresses Human and Nature in balance?
Far from knowing all the answers in advance, we are experimenting and developing living in a self-selected voluntary community on the countryside with fresh water and clean air, foster close connections and communications in the day-to-day, work with body and mind, outside and indoors, care for the quality of soil and food to name just a few essential elements.
We seek to have all generations present so that we are a complete human tribe, where every one can contribute to every one else’s needs and receives each other generation’s energy and gifts. Many nationalities are present here. We practice our form of Art of Hosting for community meetings and our day-to-day living.

You can join in stages: 1. for a shorter stay (up to 3 months) at the end of which we can agree on 2. a year’s agreement, at the end of which 3. a longer or unlimited membership.

The Obenaus Community is a registered association in Austria. People living in the community become members in this association and take part in our sociocratic practice and organisation. We have different levels of monthly contribution, depending on the size and quality of the rooms held by the member for their private use. We buy some food and household consumables together. We share the chores and tasks which are needed for the community functioning through sociocratic principles.
The Obenaus Community is running the place based on a lease with the currently sole owner of the property who is a founding member of the community.

A residential project: people live here as their primary home.
An institution, business, network, or project that isn’t a residence (e.g. a learning center, farm, or network with no one living there full-time).
