What we do

We are an 18-acre farm located in the foothills of the Tahoe National Forest, minutes from numerous swimming holes on the Yuba River and boating activities on Bullards Bar Reservoir. We operate a Retreat Center with a Lodge, Family Annex, Yoga Studio, Audio/Video Recording Studio, 1700 square foot Pavilion and Group Camping facilities with community kitchen, outdoor dish washing station, restrooms with showers, RV sites, a Yurt, Bunkhouse, and converted shipping container, providing lodging for as many as 80 people.
We are welcoming individuals with experience in audio engineering and video/radio production and/or gardening/groundskeeping experience for work exchange.
Located outside Nevada City, CA, Willow Springs is a sustainable community that operates an established Permaculture Garden, a Commercial-sized Greenhouse, and countless fruit trees
We welcome individuals that embrace one or more of the following:

        1. facilitating/managing retreats or wellness programs;
        1. those that are passionate about growing their own food;
        1. those that want to bring real change with their participation of a new media;
        1. those with experience in Video and Audio production (equipment a PLUS);

How to join

We invite individuals to schedule a time to talk by phone and if it feels like a good match for both parties, we invite you to come visit. If appropriate, the prospective member is invited to come live on the property.

Basic expectations or agreements for members

We invite individuals to schedule a time to talk by phone and if it feels like a good match for both parties, we invite you to come experience our work exchange program at Willow Springs for a 3 month or 6 month stay. We provide you with the housing in exchange for approximately 35 hours of work per month. As your stay draws to a close, both parties determine if it is a good fit for long term residency.
