This teensy community will evolve as its membership evolves. Mainly, this is just a very pretty, multi-bedroom house in a lovely rural area, with lots of state and national forests all around. Generally speaking, we’d like to find a way to create a safe and supportive space for compassionate men and women who are loving and nonjudgmental of others’ choices, but also lovingly stubborn about being conspicuously and courageously exactly who they are– according to their own respective, true, authentic, ancestral beliefs, genetic heritage, and identity at birth (e.g., biologically male, biologically female, or biologically intersex).
Additionally, on a practical note, we’re not looking to “confront” or “attack” the views of our neighbors here in Clifton Forge, who have deep-rooted beliefs of their own, which may or may not always mesh seamlessly with ours. And we’re certainly not looking to establish a community that is so radically different from the surrounding culture that our members could be endangered. Rather, we’re just trying to start a dialogue with our neighbors, by the simple force of our own example.
