Family of 4; Me, my wife, my mom, and a baby on the way. Wifey is an art therapist, Mom is a special ed teacher, and I work remotely.
I grew up very unconventional. My mom and I have a long history of traveling social activism. My wife and I bought three acres in central IL in hopes of creating a community. Turns out the phrase “if you build it, they will come” doesn’t mean much when you live in the middle of nowhere… LOL!
Looking for a community we can move to… or a community we can build here. We have goats, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, dogs and cats! We LOVE homesteading and absolutely want to continue.
A co-housing set-up or even just a great rural/semi-rural neighborhood with community dispersed throughout (I have lived in a similar set-up in D.C. as a young teen) would work best for us, given how many people and animals we are, but I am open to all arrangements that could work for us. Please message me if you think we could be a good fit!
